The Flathead Valley is mobile, are you?
If you knew this about your website you would panic!
Readers of this blog are very familiar with my frequent recommendations that they upgrade their websites to be mobile friendly due to the increasing traffic from smartphones and Tablet PCs.
This screen capture from the Flathead Guide’s analytics report from earlier today dramatically illustrates traffic from mobile devices. It shows that 6 visitors are on the website at the present time. Of those visitors, 3 are from desktop users and 2 are using smartphones while 1 is on a Tablet PC. 50% of the current traffic are from mobile devices.
What does this data mean to you?
Simply stated, if your website is not mobile friendly, you could be missing out on as much as half of your potential business. People using smartphones will not remain on a website that is not “responsive” to their devices. This is not my opinion, it is a proven fact of current web traffic behavior.
I have posted numerous articles on the need to make sure that your website can be viewed on mobile platforms; see Smartphone Alert!, The Mobile Website Revolution and Are you responsive to your customer’s needs? This video will give you the details…
